Six months internship/ stage to start by September 2015 for assisting choreographer- dramaturge Gabriela Zuarez in the next developing training program and production work within the dance school Danzalterna and the dance-group El Sur Mundo Project- Performing Arts.
Open call for BA dance/choreography and BA dance education students extended to BA theatre students. The open call is legible as well for MA Theater/ Performance/ Choreography students and scholars from Cultural studies departments who may have a regular practice in movement and dance techniques.
-Target participants may be contemporary/ modern dancers/ choreographers, movers and actors with relevant movement practice or experience in dance or movement techniques.
-Target participants may accept to interact with different types of dancers' groups: professional, amateurs and non-professional.
-Target participants may present a stage/internship plan in accordance with the dramaturge.
The subjects of the assistantship are: the movers/dancers body and its issues (self-awareness, identities, performativity, technicalities), dance systems/ languages and popular dances (particullarly Argentinian Tango), contemporary performance, dance/theatre communities: the social aspect of dance and theatre and event-production.
The headline of the internship is the assistance of the dramaturge in the lab-research work (preparation, project conceptualization and writing), creative- development process with the dancers and performance-production build-up, practicalities of the theatre production, teacher assistance during the training and classes (methods, pedagogy and practice for the students), holding open rehearsals and exposition. It is expected from the intern or stage to attend the practices, classes and rehearsals.
